Victor Calvo Cincuenta Canonazo: the cold draw recalls hazelnut, but also spicy and floral notes.
After lighting it, the smoke starts out with a very characteristic saltiness, accompanied by a very composed spiciness. Flavors of wood, earth and pepper, with a little tinge of cocoa. Strength is medium (3/5).

There aren’t any particular changes in the second third: notes of wood and earth are followed by light hints of coffee. Strength increases to a medium-full (4/5).

Also in the final puffs the saltiness stays unchanged. The aromatic palette varies slightly, adding notes of spices and walnut to the omnipresent wood. Strength stays medium-full (4/5).

Overall, this Cincuenta Cañonazo is a good cigar, but with evident problems. It burned irregularly, which had to be corrected continuously. Strength, especially in the middle part, tends to cover the other flavors. Evolution is very limited: the constant saltiness, paired with a few other flavors, stay unchanged for the whole smoke, which in the Toro size can get annoying. On the other hand, the few perceptible aromas are intense, with a long finish.
