The cigar comes dressed in a bright dark brown wrapper with reddish reflections. To the touch, it is pretty wrinkled with evident and pronounced veins, as is the practice for the brand. Overall, the construction is good.

Toscano Master Aged Serie 2: very intense aromas of natural rubber are perceived in the cold draw, followed by woody notes and shades of leather.

Once lit, the smoke is delicately sweet on the palate, bitter with some sapid peaks. Spices are also perceived in the first few centimeters of the smoke. It expresses very intense notes of wood, followed by less marked tones of leather and roasted nuts. Strength is medium (3/5).

In the second half, the sapidity takes hold while the initial sweetness disappears. The bitterness remains but to a lesser extent and is now more nuanced. Next to toasted nuts from the first half, the flavor profile is outlined with very evident wood and earth tones. Strength increases, becoming medium-high (4/5).

Ultimately, the Toscano Master Aged Series 2 offers a smoke worthily representative of the marriage between North American and Italian Kentucky tobacco. It is balanced between aromas and strength, with the latter making itself felt without however overpowering the former. Only a more accentuated evolution would have conferred greater depth and refinement to the cigar.
