The Oscar Maduro is one of the many lines and wrapper variations produced by Oscar Valladares at the homonymous factory in Honduras. The Corona, however, is a new size in The Oscar Maduro family that was introduced earlier this year. Like the other formats of the line, it is enveloped in a Candela leaf covering half of the cigar, while the box (of eleven pieces), once closed, resembles a cigar mold.
Once stripped of the leaf that surrounds a good part of the cigar, it reveals a bright Maduro colored wrapper. It is quite smooth to the touch, with medium pronounced veins. Overall construction is average, and the draw is good.

The Oscar Maduro Corona: it is quite intriguing on the nose, with aromas of pepper, wood, and nuts.
Ultimately, the Oscar Maduro Corona is a convincing concentrate of an ample flavor profile and well balanced between the strength and the aromas. The flavor profile is broad and rich, and the strength, despite starting to be felt from the second third on, never dominates. The finish is quite long. While the characteristic of the aromas is a bit rustic, it is something that could be appreciated by many.
