The Tatuaje Reserva Broadleaf line was first introduced in 2017 and came in massive 100-count boxes. Tatuaje had already used the Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper in select sizes from the Brown Label line, but the Reserva Broadleaf line would include ten different sizes from the Brown Label.
To make the different sizes more accessible, the packaging was changed to 10-count boxes for each size.
The cigar is dressed up in a Maduro-shaded leaf. To the touch, they are rough, and the filling is generous and uniform. The cap of Especiales size, compared to the others, is finished in a pigtail.

Tatuaje Especiales Reserva Broadleaf:Â the cold draw reveals scents of black pepper and earth, with the spices being the protagonist. The first few puffs deliver notes of earth and spices, with the black pepper being the most relevant.
The first third is all about the earth and roasted notes, with an intense coffee bean aroma perceivable in the background. The smoke is creamy, and the strength is medium (3/5).
The middle section confirms the earthy and roasted notes, now joined by vegetal aromas as well, that are advancing more intensely in the smoke. Some sugary flavors are also delivered in some puffs, and the strength picks up a little (3.5/5).
In the last third, the vegetal notes are the prominent flavor and balsamic aromas. The spices also become more pronounced with some rich chili and peppery notes. In the final puffs also appears a touch of incense. The strength increases again, reaching a medium-full level (4/5) and ending the smoke satisfyingly.
Overall, the Tatuaje Especiales Reserva Broadleaf reveals a deep and balanced flavor profile. The smoke is creamy, and the balance is outstanding from the first to the last puff.
