Señorial Lancero: sweet notes of cocoa and honey notes on the nose. The opening is decidedly sweet.

The sweetness carries into the first third. The aromas, although not very pronounced, are wood and coffee, followed by a more obvious note of dried fruit. Strength is medium – light (2/5).

The second third is characterized by the dominant sweetness, with the wood and coffee becoming more pronounced. Delicate notes of honey and caramel appear as well, the latter is rather fleeting. Strength remains medium – light (2/5).

In the last third, the cigar undergoes a sudden evolution towards saltier flavors of walnut and wood. Earthy notes can be made out as well. During the final puffs a bitter note appears. Strength becomes medium (3/5).

Overall, this Señorial Lancero has pleasantly surprised us with a balanced smoke, simple but not trivial. Flavor-wise, the cigar has a good mix of aromas which, although not many in number, can also express themselves in each of the different thirds. The contained strength is not a flaw, but rather an expression of a cigar that can be smoked at all times.
