Romeo y Julieta Linea de Oro Nobles 1600 900 Luca Cominelli

The Romeo y Julieta Linea de Oro Nobles belongs to the brand’s new Linea de Oro (Golden line), the most luxurious line in the Romeo y Julieta portfolio. Three are the cigars in this series: Dianas, 52 x 145mm (5 3/4″), Hidalgos, 57 x 125mm (4 7/8″), and Nobles, 56 x 135mm, the latter being the pyramid size.

Each size is sold in a 20-count box completely different from the usual Romeo y Julieta dress box. Red and gold are the colors featured in the cigar bands and box.

RYJ Linea de Oro Nobles 2

Romeo y Julieta Linea de Oro Nobles: the cold draw reveals scents of earth and hazelnut. The opening brings white pepper and fine wood to the palate.

RYJ Linea de Oro Nobles 3

The first third continues with fine wood, together with citrus fruits and white pepper, the latter, however, is now perceivable mainly in the aftertaste. The strength is medium (3/5).

In the middle third, citrus is confirmed, as well as the fine wood and white pepper, which now have moved to the foreground. There are also hints of milk chocolate, with a touch of hazelnut present. The strength increases a little (3.5/5).

The last third of the smoke confirms the flavor profile, and the strength doesn’t change (3.5/5).

Overall, the Romeo y Julieta Linea de Oro Nobles delivers a balanced smoke but lacks a little in terms of evolution. That said, the smoke is well refined and elegant, and this cigar is far from the more rustic flavor profile that Romeo y Julieta is used to exhibiting.
