The Rocky Patel Cigar Smoking World Championship Robusto is part of the line specially created by Rocky Patel for the homonymous event (born in 2010) that takes place annually. Where to win, you need to smoke the cigar for as long as possible without letting it go out.

The line consists of three sizes, Robusto, Toro, and Mareva, but only the latter is used for competition. All sizes are sold in ten-count boxes.

The cigar is wrapped in a slightly opaque leaf, with a Maduro color with brown reflections. To the touch, it is pretty rustic, with moderately prominent veins. The construction and filling are excellent.

Rocky Patel Cigar Smoking World Championship Robusto: aromas of nuts and wood are perceived in the cold draw, enriched by earthy nuances.

Rocky Patel CSWC Robusto

The opening reveals a very sapid smoke with intense aromas of spices and wood, followed by less marked notes of nuts. Strength is medium-full (4/5).

In the central section, the sapidity decreases in strength, while the aromas continue to see the spices and the wood as the protagonists of the flavor profile. A balsamic nuance is also perceived, and the strength remains unchanged (4/5).

In the last third, nothing changes compared to the previous third, except for the balsamic nuance disappearing. Strength remains the same as well (4/5).

Overall, this Rocky Patel Cigar Smoking World Championship Robusto offers a strong and sometimes rustic smoke. The flavor spectrum is not very broad, and it is sometimes overshadowed by the strength—very little evolution.
