This is the second edition of the Aged Limited & Rare from Rocky Patel. The first thing noticed is the different band, now more attractive, with an unusual and studied shape. The cigars are called limited and rare due to the small quantities released to the market, while the term aged is referred to the two years the cigars are aged before being sold.
The cigars are dressed in silky and dark Maduro wrappers. They are box-pressed and the overall construction is excellent.

Rocky Patel Age Limited & Rare Toro: the cold draw reveals scents of earth and cocoa. The opening delivers notes of cocoa and black pepper. The first few puffs are refined, with the spiciness remaining in the background.
The first third brings rich aromas of cocoa, a hint of black pepper, and a touch of earth to the palate. The strength is medium (3/5).
The second third turns to nutty notes, with walnut standing out. Cocoa and spices are still present, and the strength doesn’t change (3/5).
The spices become more present in the final third but do not overwhelm the remaining aromas. The nutty notes are intertwined with cocoa, black pepper, and herbal nuances, the latter giving rise to a long finish. The strength increases a little (3.5/5), enough to close the smoke in a very satisfying way.
Overall, the Rocky Patel Age Limited & Rare Toro delivers an exquisite and refined smoke, boasting an outstanding balance. One of the best cigars from Rocky Patel.
