Plasencia Cigars is getting into the Chinese Zodiac cigars. They just announced their release of the limited edition cigar the “Year of the Ox.” Plasencia Cigars CEO Nestor Andres Plasencia said, “The ‘Year of the Ox’ is dedicated to the hard-working people who are in the trenches, cultivating the very tobacco we used in this blend. We at the Plasencia family consider ourselves farmers first. Since 1865, our family has gained invaluable tobacco knowledge, born of unwavering hard work and dedication. ‘The Year of the Ox’ celebrates that passion.”
The “Year of the Ox” will only come in the 7 inch by 58 ring gauge Salomon vitola. The cigar is a Nicaraguan puro, with a wrapper leaf grown by the Plasencia family. The Year of the Ox has a total production of 20,000 cigars. Cigars will come in red and gold 8-ct boxes. MSRP of $35 per cigar, or $280 for the 8-ct box. The Year of the OX will be available in February 2021.
