Plasencia Cigars has announced the release of a limited edition cigar called “The Year of the Dragon”. This marks Plasencia’s fourth limited edition cigar celebrating the Chinese New Year. The cigar is a Torpedo, measuring 54 x 165mm (6 1/2″). Only 3,000 boxes of “The Year of the Dragon” have been produced, and they will be available worldwide.

The Chinese New Year begins on February 10, 2024, and Plasencia Cigars has created a blend that reflects the Plasencia family’s values and pays tribute to Chinese culture. The Dragon is the fifth animal in the Chinese zodiac and is associated with good luck, honor, strength, and health. In Chinese culture, the Dragon is a mythical creature that symbolizes talent and excellence.

The Plasencia family sees a lot of commonalities between their values and those of the Dragon. They believe that their business has been thriving since 1865 because of their commitment to honor, strength, and striving for excellence.

“The Year of the Dragon” is a puro cigar that uses tobaccos from the various Plasencia farms in Nicaragua. The blend was created to match the redeeming features of the Dragon.

Nestor Andres Plasencia, the CEO of Plasencia Cigars, said, “The Dragon perfectly represents our family’s drive for excellence. We are excited to share this special offering with the public and celebrate the Chinese New Year.”

The cigar’s retail price is $45 per cigar or $450 per ten-count box.
