The My Father The Judge line was released back in 2016, with just two sizes. Another size, the Toro Fino, was added a year later. Earlier this year, they introduce a Corona Gorda size to the line. The name is inspired by a friend of the Garcias, who, you guessed it, is a judge.
Visually, the wrapper is of a motley Maduro color that looks and feels rustic. Filling is uniform, and the overall construction is good.

My Father The Judge Corona Gorda: earth and a mix of spice are revealed in the cold draw. Once lit, the cigar opens with a blast of black pepper.
Overall, the My Father The Judge Corona Gorda is definitely a strong cigar. Strong and earthy. What the cigar lacks in complexity and evolution, it makes up for in strength and intensity. Too bad that the earthy component is just too much sometimes and makes for a lob sided smoke. A little change of pace would have made this a more interesting smoke.
