My Father La Gran Oferta is one of the many lines produced at the My Father factory in Estelì, Nicaragua. It was presented for the first time at the IPCPR in 2018. The name is a tribute to a cigar brand that existed in the early 1900s. The line consists of five formats, and the Nicaraguan tobaccos used come from plantations owned by the Garcia family.
Like all other sizes, the Toro is sold in elegant 20-count boxes.
It is dressed in a shiny Maduro wrapper with brown reflections. Itprettyuite smooth to the touch, with medium sized veins. The filling and construction are very good, while the draw appears slightly open.

My Father La Gran Oferta Toro: intense aromas of leather are perceived in the cold draw, followed by less intense tones of wood and nuts.
Once lit, the cigar is delicately sapid but also sweet. It expresses very marked notes of earth, followed by wood and leather nuances. Strength is medium (3/5).
In the second third, the initial sapidity becomes more marked, while the sweetness gives way to a slight bitterness that does not unbalance the smoke. The aromas confirm the earth (albeit less intense), and there is the entrance of cocoa and a vegetal nuance. The strength becomes medium-full (4/5).
In the last third the profile is made up of notes of aged wood and spices, which flank the earth of the previous third. Strength remains unchanged (4/5).
Overall, the My Father La Gran Oferta Toro offers a satisfying and well-balanced smoke. Even the aromas which it develops are interesting and well-blended together. Perfect for after dinner.
