The blend is made up of both Nicaraguan binder and filler. All this is rolled in a Mexican San Andres wrapper, of a Maduro color. The wrapper is smooth to the touch. The filling isn’t lacking in any way and has a slight resistance when squeezed.
La Mission de L’ Atelier 1982: the cold draw reveal notes of cocoa and earth. Spicy notes on the lips. The opening bring the aforementioned aromas to the palate.
The first third progresses with cocoa and earth as the main flavors. After a few puffs the smoke becomes creamy. There are faintly toasted notes and citrus perceptible in the back. The strength is, after the first few puffs, medium – full (4/5).
The second third doesn’t change much. Be it the aromas or the strength, both stay unchanged. In certain puff there start to appear some sour notes. By the half point of the cigars, notes of black pepper enter. The construction doesn’t present and problem.
In the last third the aromatic palate increases in intensity and a nutty note is added. The strength becomes full (5/5).
Overall the La Mission de L’ Atelier 1982 is a good cigar. The aromatic palatte grows in intensity and the flavors are well outlined. Although the almost not existing evolution make the cigar static in most parts.
