La Ley is a brand created by Didier Houvenagel and the cigars are produced in Nicaragua, at the AJ Fernandez factory. The La Ley Reserva 2015 Exquisito is one of the two sizes released as Reserva 2015, the other being the Laguito No.6 (click here for the review). For the Reserva 2015 line, the tobaccos used are at least two years old and a further year of aging once they were rolled. Every year, this line is re-proposed and the same goes for the two size.
Aesthetically, the cigars are rolled in a Maduro shaded wrapper leaf, that is slightly rough to the touch. The construction is flawless.

La Ley Reserva 2015 Exquisito: unlit, hints of earth and black pepper. The opening confirms the spicy component, to which the earthy notes are added.
Overall, the La Ley Reserva 2015 Exquisito is a cigar with an excellent flavor intensity, but with a rather contained evolution. Having said that, the cigar is balanced and, although there is no real change of pace throughout the smoke, it is pleasant and anything but boring. The Toro size, however, was decidedly more performing.
