Originally, the Joya de Nicaragua Número Uno cigars were made for Nicaraguan ambassadors in other countries. In 2018, the Número Uno was tasted by a small number of journalists and ordinary people, obtaining top-level feedback.
Número Uno is composed of a Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper, binder and filler come from Nicaragua. Production is slower than normal cigars, as only the most qualified Torcedors roll them.
When smoked, the cigar releases a medium strength and is refined, complex and elegant. The creaminess is followed by notes of light pepper, which literally make it an exclusive experience, adapted to the lifestyle of a diplomat.
Now, Joya de Nicaragua Número Uno, will be released nationally as part of the ultra-premium family Obras Maestras (which counts Cuatro Cinco and Cinco Décadas), while remaining something exclusive. Production for the global market is limited to 1,500 boxes per year and only selected retailers in the world will be able to sell it.
The cigar will be available in the only L’Ambassadeur size, a Lonsdale measuring 44 x 168 mm. In the United States it will be available only at DDRP Specialty Retail stores, in 25 count boxes at a price of $ 15.00 per cigar.
The presentation of the cigar took place at the recent IPCPR in Las Vegas and will be presented in Europe at the Intertabac fair, in Dortmund, in September.
