Despite the appellido de salida might appear a correspondance with the more Cazador vitola, the Josè L. Piedra one is 10 mm shorter compared to cazador model used for the only Cuban cigar belonging to this shape, the one by Romeo y Julieta. This specific issue generated the creation of a new vitola de galera: cazador JLP.

At sight the capa is a reddish-colorado one, with almost absent shine, and an evident superficial manufacturing. In fact by touching the cigar many visual defects can also be underlined: a rough texture, marked nervation and filling with several empty spots.
Smoking notes.
Jose L. Piedra Cazadores: before lighting the cigar up marked woody and earthy notes are evident, not without a minor leather contribution.
The fruition starts with a very flavor, with a minor mineral/salty counterbalance. Concerning the aromatic palette, a very interesting butter almond is the most evident one, together with step-by-step decreasing wood and leather hints. Body is medium to light (2/5).
Moving on in the fruition, the mineral notes reach the acidic ones, and the aromas are evidently characterized by leather and wood, with a pronounced earthy note. Strength suddenly increases to a medium – full level (4/5).
Taking into account all the mentioned defects and the rather unbalanced performance (in addition to the strength, which increases in an uncontrolled way, after half the smoke the cigar becomes extremely acidic), this cigar has to be smoked as it is: a short filler module, which can better suit inattentive sessions.

Utterly disgusting cigar
