The name, Last Call, comes because of the fact that A.J. gave this cigars to his house guest during the last quarter of the NFL games. The Last Call was then introduced as the first cigars of the new Portfolio Series, a line that showcases A.J. Fernandez’s private blends.

A.J. Fernandez Last Call Geniales: the cold draw reveals notes of cocoa and cedar. The beginning is toasty, with notes of cedar, very creamy, and slight spices in the back.
The first third continues very toasty and sweet with notes of cedar, nuts and tobacco. In the retro-hale is red pepper well perceptible, which gives the ample smoke some body. The strength is medium (3/5).
In the second third notes of cocoa support the cedar and nuts. The red pepper is still present in the back of the creamy smoke. Construction wise there aren’t any flaws. The draw is excellent, with the right amount of resistance, and the combustion is homogeneous, with a firm ash. The strength increases slightly (3,5/5).
The last third sees notes of coffee appearing, which marries well with the rest of the aromas of cedar, cocoa, nuts and red pepper. There are herbal notes detectable in some puffs. The smoke continues to be very creamy. The strength increases to a medium high level (4/5).
Overall a well balanced and satisfying cigar, with an excellent construction. The evolution is good, even if the cigar is static in certain parts. The strongest aspect of the Last Call is certainly its price/quality ratio.
