Izambar Sovereign

Izambar Sovereign: the cold draw reveals sweet wooden notes. Once the foot is toasted, the first few puffs bring notes of wood and cocoa to the palate.

Further into the first third, the wood and cocoa combo are the main flavors of the profile. There is also a mix of baking spice (cinnamon and nutmeg) and coffee coming through. The smoke is creamy and the strength falls slightly short of being medium-bodied (2,5/5).

In the second third, the wood and cocoa flavors are still center stage, of the flavor profile, followed by baking spice, cream, and coffee. Strength has reached the medium level (3/5).

There is not much change in the final third when it comes to the flavor profile and strength.

Overall, the Izambar Sovereign is a balanced and smooth smoke. The flavors, although not very complex, work well together and compliment each other. It lacks in evolution and the burn needed to be touched up a couple of times.
