Highclere Castle Senetjer: the cold draw reveals aromas of spices and ripe fruit. Once lit, it opens with black pepper, leather, and wood notes.

Usually, it takes these kinds of vitolas a little bit to get going, but the Senetjer is very flavorful from the get-go. The black pepper, leather, and wood mix is joined by honey and hazelnut. Strength is a solid medium (3/5).

In the second third, the already ample profile is joined by coffee, with herbs (mainly a mint freshness) and mineral scents in the background. The strength remains unchanged.

In the last third, the flavor profile becomes fuller and spicier, mainly dominated by chili. Strength grows to a medium-full level (4/5).

Overall, the Highclere Castle Senetjer is a complex and flavorful smoke with a broad and balanced profile. But don’t be fooled. The strength creeps up on you, especially in the last third: a memorable smoke, fitting what it pays tribute to.
