Highclere Castle is the result of a collaboration between Nicholas Melillo and George Herbert (count of Carnarvon); the cigars are named after the castle called Highclere, owned by Herbert, where the Downton Abbey TV-Series was filmed.
The intent of the joint venture between Foundation Cigar and Highclere Castle Cigar Co is the realization of a cigar that is reminicing of a smoke that was characteristic for the beginning of the 1900.
Highclere Castle is composed of an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper, Brazilian Mata Fina binder and Nicaraguan fillers.
They are produced by the Tabacalera AJ Fernandez Cigars in Nicaragua and sizes are:
- Petit Corona, 42 x 127 mm
- Corona, 46 x 140 mm
- Robusto, 50 x 127 mm
- Toro, 52 x 152Â mm
- Churchill, 48 x 178 mm
Prices will range from $12 to $16 per cigar, depending on the size chosen.
