H. Upmann No.2 Reserva: before lighting the cigar up, vanilla and cedar notes can be perceived. Opening gives off notes of cedar, spices and hazelnut.
The first third is very creamy and refined. Hazelnut, light spices and cedar notes are provided. Strength is slightly below medium (2,5/5).
The second third changes into toasted coffee and cappuccino notes. White pepper and cocoa aromas are now evident. Smoke is incredibly creamy. Spices are culminating in the background. Strength becomes medium (3/5).
The last smoking sector continues with coffee and spices. Moving on, some hints of ammonia reaches the nose, and later on even the palate.
Overall, a very refined and creamy smoke, with a complex and sophisticated aromatic palette. The first two third are exceptional, balanced, harmonious and a good evolution as well. Moving on in the last segment, some youth is evident in this H. Upmann No.2 Reserva, due to the note of ammonia.
The aging potential is major, and most probably it will not take long for these H. Upmann No.2 Reserva to provide an excellent performance from the first to the last puff. For sure one of the better Reservas.
