Gurkha Cigar Group Inc. announced a facelift for a staple brand in their collection: Gurkha Heritage. Shipping now to retailers, the Gurkha Heritage and Heritage Maduro will look a bit slimmer.
Gurkha Cigar Group has decided to move the traditional 25-count cabinet selection box to a slimmer, 15-count moving forward. Gurkha Cigar Group made the decision to move to 15-count boxes from the original 25-count boxes to make it more affordable to carry this and other lines by Gurkha in retail stores. “Same great blends, same wonderful packaging, just a few cigars less inside the box,” says Juan Lopez, Vice President of Sales at Gurkha Cigar Group. “The cigar market has shifted from larger counts in years past, and our company has decided to evolve with the change.”
“What’s more affordable for retailers becomes more affordable for consumers,” Commented Jim Colucci, President of Gurkha Cigar Group. “It also creates a bit more space to carry this and other lines in the limited shelf space of humidors. Gurkha’s portfolio has continued to expand, and we have to create ways to make our line available for all consumers who know and love the brands. Rather than send a favored line to the chopping block, we decided to evolve with the times and make it easier for retailers to continue to carry.”
Both Heritage and Heritage Maduro cigars boast a retail price of $9.50 for a Robusto and $10.50 for a Toro.
