Flor de Selva Year of the Dragon

Maya Selva Cigars has announced their newest limited edition to celebrate the coming Chinese New Year 2024: Flor de Selva Año del Dragón 2024.

The Honduran puro consists of a wrapper from Jamastrán, binders from Azacualpa and Olancho, and filler tobaccos from regions throughout the country. Año del Dragón comes in a hefty 52 x (7 1/2″) Double Corona vitola. The cigars are made at the Plasencia’s Tabacos de Oriente factory in Honduras.

Production is limited to a total of 2,024 10-count boxes worldwide. The design brings together traditional Chinese patterns and Mayan hieroglyphics. Animal symbolism and iconography play a crucial role in their spirituality in both the Chinese and the Mayan cultures. The ancient Maya believed everyone has a “nahual” — a spirit animal that is a guide through life. The retail price of the boxes is set at €250 in Europe and $245 in the USA.

The Flor de Selva Año del Dragón 2024 is scheduled to arrive in stores around mid-October.
