Davidoff 702 Series Entreacto 800 480 Michel Arlia

With the 702 series, Davidoff relaunched their classic line, thanks to a small modification to the blend. However, to only substitute the wrapper leaf would have been restrictive for the famous Dominican brand, so after years of studies and research, thanks to a hybrid of three Cuban seeds, they obtained the Ecuadorian wrapper not only worthy to dress the renowned Davidoff cigars, but that also brings new flavors to the classic line.

Between the seven proposed size, the Entreacto, with its small size, is the smallest of the 702.

The wrapper is shiny, Colorado with brown reflexes and presents a rather smooth texture to the touch. Constructions appears to be good, although a slightly underfilled foot shows an imperfection, which is not common for the brand.

Davidoff 702 Series Entreacto: unlit, flavors that are reminiscing of wood and, to a lesser extent, spices.

It starts out mildly salty, with an equally tenuous bitter tinge that doesn’t disturb the balance. The aromas are few in numbers, albeit well defined: spices and balsamic flavors predominate on a weak note of coffee. Strength is light (1,5/5).

Even though the size doesn’t particularly accentuate the evolution of aromas, towards the middle the small Entreacto becomes slightly saltier, with aromas that recall coffee and earth, over a more imperious note of cellulose. Strength increases, becoming medium light (2/5).

Overall, the smoke that the Entreacto returns is pleasant, free of defects. Perfect balance, added to an average aromatic intensity, evolution and persistency, it leaves you with an enjoyable smoke, as long as you don’t have high expectations of the size.
