The cigar presents an opaque Colorado shaded wrapper, with brown reflections. It is silky to the touch, with medium evident veins. Filling appears a little lacking in parts and in fact the draw appears open too. The overall construction is average.

Cornelius & Anthony Meridian Robusto: intense aromas of spices reach the nose, followed by nuances of wood and cocoa.

Cornelius Anthony Meridian Robusto

The smoke opens with sapid and acid characteristic, but what is striking is the sharpness of the smoke in the mouth. A black pepper note is very evident, followed by wood and cellulose. Strength is medium – light (2/5).

In the central part, the bitterness increases in intensity. The wood and cellulose remain present, while spices are added. Strength remains unchanged (2/5). The combustion becomes wavy, so much as to require various corrections.

No other changes are present in the last third, compared to the central section. Strength also remains unchanged (2/5).

In conclusion, The Cornelius & Anthony Meridian Robusto returns an average smoke, with minimal but recognizable aromas. Evolution is very contained. The smoke in the mouth is sharp and even the increase in intensity of the bitter note does not result in a particularly balanced smoke.
