Cohiba Coronas Especiales

Cohiba Coronas Especiales 1600 900 Luca Cominelli

Cohiba Coronas Especiales is one of the very few Panetela sizes still in production in the Cuban portfolio. Furthermore, this vitola de Galera (Laguito No. 2) is shared only with the Montecristo Especial No. 2. It has been in production since 1967.
It is sold in the classic lacquered 25-count dress box, typical of the Cohiba brand.

Cohiba Coronas Especiales

It is dressed with a bright Colorado-shaded wrapper leaf that is smooth to the touch. The construction and filling are excellent.

Cohiba Coronas Especiales 2

Cohiba Coronas Especiales: hints of wood and hazelnut are perceptible in the cold draw. The opening is sweet and brings hazelnut notes and a touch of honey to the palate.

Cohiba Coronas Especiales 3

The smoke revolves mainly around hazelnut and earth, with a spicy background of white pepper. The base is slightly sweet, and the strength is somewhat below the medium body (2.5/5).

The flavor profile is confirmed in the central part, with the spices becoming more intense. Strength grows, reaching a medium level (3/5).

In the final stretch, the spices grow in intensity and culminate with spicy peaks. The hazelnut is now flanked by seasoned wood, which takes the place of the earth—approaching the finish, notes of cocoa and earth alternate, with a slightly balsamic vein in the background. The finish is satisfying and intense, and the strength is slightly above medium (3.5/5).

Overall, the Cohiba Coronas Especiales reveals a good flavor intensity, which becomes more pronounced in the last third, the best together with the first. Good evolution, as well as complexity.
