The Casa Turrent 1880 Oscuro Lancero belongs to the new additions to the 1880 line that were released back in 2021. All four 1880 variations (Claro, Colorado, Maduro, and Oscuro) received a Lancero size. All the tobaccos in the blend come from Turrent’s farms in Mexico. The wrapper is a San Andrés Habano Criollo, the binder a San Andrés Negro, and the filler a San Andrés Habano Criollo.
The cigar is dressed in a Colorado Maduro leaf that is slightly rough to the touch. Some soft spots are present, which is not that rare in the Lancero size.

Casa Turrent 1880 Oscuro Lancero: the cold draw reveals scents of chocolate. The first few puffs deliver earth, nuts, and dark chocolate notes.
Overall, the Casa Turrent 1880 Oscuro Lancero delivers a contained flavor profile, with no evolution perceivable. The smoke is relatively dry, especially in the second half of the cigar. It is the Lancero that performs the worst among the four of the 1880 line.
