Casa Turrent 1880 Claro Lancero 1600 900 Luca Cominelli

The Casa Turrent 1880 Claro Lancero is a fairly new addition to the 1880 line that received a Lancero size in all four blends (Claro, Colorado, Maduro, and Oscuro). The Mexican tobacco in the blend comes from the Turrent’s farms.

The cigar features a Mexican Habano Criollo wrapper, a Mexican San Andrés Negro binder, and fillers from Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

Casa Turrent 1880 Claro Lancero

Casa Turrent 1880 Claro Lancero: the cold draw reveals scents of earth and leather. The opening brings nutty notes, rich leather, and earth to the palate.

The first third continues on the earth, leather and nutty notes, joined now by varnished wood. The strength is a little below the medium level (2.5/5).

The middle third confirms the flavor profile, which now sees the addition of a touch of spices, mainly white pepper. The strength increases a little, enough to reach the medium level (3/5).

In the final section, the flavor profile turns to wood and earth. A vegetal vein is added, some balsamic nuances are also present, and the strength doesn’t change (3/5). In the finale, the nutty notes return.

Overall, the Casa Turrent 1880 Claro Lancero is a balanced cigar with a decent intensity. The evolution is perceivable, despite not being broad.
