The Camacho Nicaragua Toro belongs to the newest line from Camacho, which was announced back in February and launched in July. The word Nicaragua, in this case, is quite misleading. They are made in Honduras and Nicaraguan tobacco is only used in the filler. In total, the blend consists of tobaccos from four different countries.
The wrapper has a little tooth to it and there are a number of veins present but nothing too prominent. Construction is flawless and the filling is generous, as the cigar has a decent weight to it.

Camacho Nicaragua Toro: the cold draw brings a mix of spices to the palate. Once lit, the cigar opens with a blast of black pepper.
The black pepper is the dominant flavor, too dominant. Notes of wood and leather can be faintly made out, but the black pepper overshadows them. Strength is slightly above medium (3,5/5).
Into the second third, the black pepper luckily dies down a bit. The wood and leather can now be clearly made out, joined by notes of earth, nuts, and coffee. Strength has now settled into a solid medium body (3/5).
The last third sees a bitter chocolate note appear next to the earth, nuts, and coffee. Wood and leather have moved to the background and are only faint. The black pepper remains the main flavor, that changes into chili spice in the last couple of puffs. Strength increases slightly (3,5/5).
Overall, the Camacho Nicaragua Toro starts out too spicy, covering most of the flavor profile. This makes for a harsh and unbalanced first third. Luckily things change in the second third and the remaining flavor profile is able to shine. This cigar will profit from some rest in the humidor.
