Caldwell Swiss Edition Part II

Caldwell Swiss Edition Part II 1600 900 Michel Arlia

The Caldwell Swiss Edition Part II is the second special edition by Caldwell, exclusive for the Swiss market. Part I was released in 2018, which was distributed to the Swiss retailers as a thank you. Since the feedback was good, it was decided to produce another cigar with a top-secret blend. Production was limited to 300 12-count boxes that have an Alpine scenery depicted on the labels and lid.

Visually, the cigars are dressed in a Maduro colored wrapper that has some oil and tooth to it. The band, while being simple, gives a nice contrast to the overall appearance of the cigar.

Caldwell Swiss Edition Part II

Caldwell Swiss Edition Part II: aromas of earth, coffee, and light spices are revealed in the cold draw. Once lit, the cigar starts quite pepper, mainly white pepper.

Further into the first third, the pepperiness settles in, and the white pepper notes are joined by earth, leather, and wood. Strength falls a bit short of being medium (2.5/5).

A roasted coffee note appears in the second third, joining the earth, leather, and wood. The white pepper aroma is only faintly present. Strength increases slightly, becoming medium (3/5).

The last third sees the wood note disappearing, while on the other hand, the white pepper note becomes fuller. Earth and leather remain the main flavors until the end. Strength remains unchanged.

Overall, the Caldwell Swiss Edition Part II is a smooth and balanced smoke, with well-intertwined flavors. While that in itself makes for a decent smoke, but for the size, the contained profile lacks evolution.
