The Caldwell Louis the Last Corona was a one-off production released at the end of 2022 and is part of Caldwell’s Crafted & Curated series.
According to Caldwell himself, who never revealed the blend of the product, the Louis The Last was a variant of The Last Tsar line, as it uses the same tobaccos, coming from the same cultivation area, but with a different fermentation process of wrapper and binder. The origin of the wrapper is unknown, only the varietal is known, a Hybrid Connecticut Arapiraca Maduro. After the Corona, a Robusto size was released as well.
Only 500 10-ct boxes were produced at the El Maestro factory in the Dominican Republic.
Louis the Last Corona is rolled in a shiny Colorado Maduro wrapper, with brown reflections. It is very smooth to the touch. The construction is excellent, and the draw is good.

Caldwell Louis The Last Corona:Â well-defined aromas of nuts and cocoa are perceivable in the cold draw, enriched by earthy nuances.
Overall, the Caldwell Louis the Last Corona is a cigar that captures the smoker’s attention for the excellent smoke condensed in a Corona format. The aromas are intense and well distributed throughout the smoke, supported by a significant but never overpowering strength. The last third is worthy of note, as it has a long finish.
