Aesthetically, the wrapper of a Colorado Maduro shade, that is slightly rough to the touch. Construction is excellent.
Blanco Nine Robusto: Earth and leather are present in the cold draw. The opening brings cocoa to the palate, joined by sweet peppery nuances.
The first third alternates cocoa, earth and black pepper. There is also a roasted and smoky note perceptible in the background. There is also a touch of cinnamon present in some puffs. Strength is slightly above medium (3.5/5).
The second third continues with earth and cocoa, now followed by notes of wood. Black pepper is always present, but less prounounced and in an aftertaste. Strength remains constant (3.5/5).
In the final third the earth is the main flavor, flanked by vegetal notes and hints of balsamic herbs. The base becomes slightly bitter in this last part of the smoke. Strength remains constant.
Overall, the Blanco Nine Robusto releases an intense smoke, with a good flavor profile. The evolution is not particularly marked. It performs better in the first half, while in the second it undergoes an involution.
