Arturo Fuente Oscuro Oro Robusto: before lighting it up, the nose is tickled by sweet hints of ripe fruit and cocoa beans. The opening gives off a riot of black pepper and wood resin. After the first heating puffs, the cigar turns to notes of dehydrated fruit and intense green pepper. In the aftertaste are perceivable rich herbal aromas. The intensity is remarkable and the strength is medium high (4/5).
In the central part, the notes of green pepper stay well present, followed by piquant spices. There are also aromas of cocoa beans and earthy hints. The herbs are still perceivable in the background, accompanying every single puff. The strength stays medium full (4/5).
The last sector of the smoke continues on the intense spicy notes. Then it’s the time of dried fruit with shell (hazelnut). In the finish the spices culminate in chili spikes, together with balsamic herbs. The strength grows, reaching a full level (5/5) and giving rise to a very satisfying finale.
Overall, the Arturo Fuente Oscuro Oro Robusto delivers a smoke of great aromatic intensity, equipped with a wide and complex aromatic palette. The evolution is linear and during the smoke the spicy component grows more and more, culminating in piquant peaks. An amazingly powerful cigar.
