Usually, it’s a competition between the Fuente and Padrón Cigar companies for the highest ratings and honors. They have put their competitiveness aside to partner in honoring their iconic fathers.
Carlos Fuente Sr. passed away in 2016, and José Orlando Padrón passed in 2017. Over the years, Carlos Fuente Jr and Jorge Padrón, the iconic legends’ sons, have become close friends. An amazing collaboration like this needs to be something on another level, and they have achieved it.
The sons have accomplished this by making a cigar in honor of the other father. Truly a remarkable idea to have Arturo Fuente Cigars in the Dominican Republic, make a cigar to honor Nicaraguan Cigar legend José Orlando Padrón. While Padrón Cigar Company will make a Nicaraguan cigar to honor the Dominican Republic cigar legend Carlos Fuente Sr.
Both cigars will be in the 7 inches by 50 ring gauge Churchill size. The cigars will be released side by side in a humidor style box. Both legends pictures and autographs will be incorporated into the packaging, with a scheduled release at the annual Premium Cigar Association Convention & Trade Show (PCA) in July 2021. To make the release even more special, some of the proceeds will be donated to charity. Arturo Fuente and Padrón Cigars just made cigar enthusiasts wish it were already 2021.
