The Professore is one of three Ammezzati cigars made by Amazon (together with De Amicis and the Masaniello), produced with Kentucky tobacco cultivated in Italy, in the regions of San Sepolcro and Pontecorvo. They are manufactured in the Peruvian city Tarapoto.
For the production of this Ammezzato, the tobaccos undergo a double fermentation, alternated between a period of 20 – 30 days during which only the leaves that pass the quality tests are keep for the re-fermentation. After 2 years of aging and 8 months of rest for the cigar, the Professore is ready.

This cigar is dressed up in a dark maroon wrapper, matt and rough to the touch. Veining is not very pronounced, considering the usual structure of the Kentucky leaf. Production is good, albeit in the same package (of five Ammezzati) there can often be found cigars that are not uniform in color or production.
Amazon Il Professore: unlit it presents hints of earth, leather and a certain saltyness. All of them present a good intensity.
Once lit, the cigar is savory, albeit with a bitter hint that doesn’t hurt. The great aromatic intensity allows you to distinctively taste notes of hazelnut and coffee, which become richer during the course of the smoke, with wood, leather and spices. The strength increases in the initial half – from strong to strong.
The pride of this Professore resides in its great aromatic intensity supported by a beefy strength, allowing you to fully enjoy, in a short period of time, all the expressiveness of a quality Kentucky.
We suggest the Amazon Professore to be enjoyed after a meal and, in any case, to smokers with a certain experince in Italian cigars.
