VegaFina Year of the Snake

VegaFina has revealed an array of new releases, among which is the rebranding of the Fortaleza 2 to Series 2, with the Short Magnum and Coupage as new sizes, and the VegaFina Nicaragua Terra.

In 2011, VegaFina launched the Fortaleza 2, which has now been renamed Serie 2 alongside a new brand image. This line maintains a modern design featuring the VF logo and pays tribute to La Romana in the Dominican Republic, home to the Tabacalera de García factory.

Introducing the VegaFina Serie 2 Short Magnum—this cigar measures 54 x 110 mm (4 â…“”) and complements the Serie 2 portfolio. Wrapped in a Mexican Criollo leaf over Dominican binder and fillers, it offers a bolder flavor compared to the medium strength of VegaFina Classic.

The VegaFina Serie 2 Short Magnum will be available in several countries starting in September and will be sold in 25-ct boxes. It will retail for €7.70 per cigar.

VegaFina has introduced “Coupage,” a new limited edition in its Serie 2 line, inspired by wine blending techniques. The name “Coupage” reflects the technique of making fine wines, where different varieties are blended to achieve an exquisite and refined taste.

This exclusive, handmade collection features selected leaves from the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and Paraguay. Offered in Belicosos format (52 x 140 mm – 5 ½”), the cigars showcase a gradient wrapper that is light at the start and dark in the body, providing a unique aroma and flavor combination.

The cigars come in a box of 12, featuring the brand’s new VF logo on both the box and cigars. “Coupage” will be launched in September in several countries. It is limited to 5,900 boxes and the retail price is set at €10.90 per cigar.

Both cigars are made at Tabacalera de García in the Dominican Republic.

Lastly the VegaFina Nicaragua line will get a new size called Terra, measuring 48 x 140 mm (5 ½”) which completes its regular portfolio. Terra features a 100% Nicaraguan blend sourced from the renowned tobacco regions of Jalapa and Estelí. The name “Terra,” from Latin, honors the special lands of Nicaragua, similar to the line’s Vulcano vitola. This launch coincides with the brand’s new modern image, featuring the new VF logo.

VegaFina Nicaragua Terra will be available worldwide starting in October, sold in boxes of 25 cigars at a retail price of €7.20, made at Tabacalera de García in the Dominican Republic.
