Plasencia Cigars has announced the release of the Plasencia Alma Del Campo in a new box-pressed vitola, the Guajiro 54 x 140 mm (5 ½”), which will soon be available in stores in the US. This new box-pressed vitola is intended to replace the existing round Guajiro, which will still be available for purchase while supplies last. The Alma Del Campo line initially launched in 2017, has been widely popular among consumers.
Alma Del Campo is a Nicaraguan puro that quickly gained popularity with consumers. The blend is deeply inspired by the rich heritage of the Plasencia family. “Alma Del Campo” (Soul of the Field) symbolizes the essence and spirit of the fields where premium tobacco is grown. It serves as a tribute to the fertile fields and the meticulous cultivation practices that have been passed down through generations of the Plasencia family.
The new box-pressed Guajiro vitola was introduced in response to consumer demand for this format. The Plasencia family is constantly experimenting with different vitolas and blends to continue pushing the boundaries of cigar making.
Jim Young, CEO of Plasencia Cigars, said, “Experience the artistry of our Alma Del Campo Guajiro box-pressed cigar, where the meticulous pressing process enhances the harmony between the Nicaraguan grown filler, binder, and wrapper leaves, delivering a richer, more refined taste with every draw.”
Néstor Andres Plasencia, the fifth generation of the Plasencia family, added, “This new Guajiro vitola presents a complex smoking experience with perfect balance, delivering notes of coffee and nuts. It’s a very creamy cigar with a touch of spice. The finish leaves a lasting impression on the palate.”
The Plasencia Alma Del Campo, a Nicaraguan puro, is available in 10-count boxes with an MSRP of $18.25 per cigar. The filler, binder, and wrapper are all sourced from Nicaragua.
