E.P. Carrillo is launching two new cigars in its Perez-Carrillo Encore line, the Edición Unica and the Encore Noir, which will be mainly targeted in international markets.
The Edición Unica is made with a Nicaraguan wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and a mix of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobacco in the filler. The tobacco used in these cigars has been aged for several years, with the wrapper being at least five years old and the binder and filler being at least ten years old. The cigars will come in a Toro Gordo size, measuring 56 x 152 mm (6”), and will be sold in limited quantities of 1,500 boxes of 10, exclusively to retailers outside the United States.
The Encore Noir uses an Ecuadorian wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. This cigar is offered in a single Robusto vitola that measures 52 x 137 mm (5 3/8”), called the Majestic No. 2. Production of this cigar is limited to 3,000 boxes of 10 cigars per year, with 2,500 boxes being shipped to international markets and the remaining 500 boxes being used for in-store retail events in the U.S.
Both cigars are produced at Casa Carrillo in Santiago, Dominican Republic, and have already started shipping to stores.
