Gilbert de Montsalvat Cigars presented their new line at a pre-release party last week called Signature, and the event took place at the renowned Chedi Andermatt in Switzerland.
The brand’s owner, Raymondo Bernasconi, invited a small circle of people to the five-star luxury hotel located in the heart of the Swiss Alps in Andermatt. The launch was celebrated in style with plenty of great food and drinks. In attendance was also the author Thomas Brunnschweiler, who created the character of Gilbert de Montsalvat in “Der Papst von Genf.” He also shared a yet unpublished story during the evening. The launch of the new line was not the only reason for the celebration. The event also coincided with Raymondo’s birthday, and he was surprised with a delicious cake made in the Chedi’s famous in-house Confiserie.
The blend of the Signature line, a Dominican puro, was created by an industry legend and nonother than Eladio Diaz. They are among the first lines produced at his new family-owned Tabacalera Diaz Cabrera in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic.
