Balmoral Anejo XO Oscuro Torpedo MK52 2

Balmoral Anejo XO Oscuro Torpedo MK52: hints of earth and seasoned wood are perceptible in the cold draw. The opening is spicy, with intense white pepper notes supported by seasoned wood.

Entering the first third, the spices become well marked, with white pepper now flanked by chili pepper. In the background, a note of nuts (walnut) is also perceptible. Strength is slightly above medium (3.5/5).

The central section alternates vegetal notes and nuts, with walnut as the protagonist. The spicy component is now in the aftertaste, where the white pepper enriched by the spicy peaks remains perceptible. The strength does not change (3.5/5).

In the final sector, spices return to the front and take center stage. Chili pepper becomes the primary aroma, now joined by earth and leather. The vegetal component is in the background. The strength grows slightly, but just enough to reach the medium-full level (4/5) and gives rise to a satisfying finish.

Overall, the Balmoral Anejo XO Oscuro Torpedo MK52 is a smoke with a marked flavor intensity. The evolution is more perceptible as a change in the intensity of the aromas, which constantly alternate during the smoke, making this Pyramid anything but a static cigar. In the last stretch, the evolution is also perceived in terms of the change in the aromas. In some puffs, the balance is on the razor’s edge, but the smoke does not unravel, not even in the finish.
