My Father Cigars has announced a new Limited Edition release under their Le Bijou line, called My Father Le Bijou 1922 100 Años Limited Edition. This particular release is dedicated to the father of José “Pepín” Garcia, José Garcia Alayón, who would have celebrated his 100th birthday this year.
The Limited Edition will come in two sizes, a 48 x 140mm (501/2″) Corona Extra and a 44 x 165mm (6 1/2″) Corona Especial. The latter is slightly box-pressed. The blend remains a Nicaraguan puro, but it was slightly modified for these limited-edition releases. All tobaccos are grown by the Garcias.
Manufactured at their factory in Esteli, Nicaragua, the production is limited to 1,922 boxes per size. Pricing and shipping date have yet to be announced, but they will be showcased at the upcoming PCA trade show this July.
