Villiger Cigars has officially opened their new factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. The new factory’s name is Villiger de Nicaragua, and it is a joint venture with Joya de Nicaragua. The new factory took a year to build from the ground up. The factory is almost 33,000 square feet in size. There will be over 100 employees at this location and room for more employees over time. The Villiger de Nicaragua factory will be producing the brand’s La Meridiana, Corrida, La Libertad, Casa de Nicaragua, San’Doro Colorado and Claro lines, and others as well. Villiger will still operate their Villiger do Brazil factory in Feira de Santana, Brazil.
The new factory started production in October 2021, but the official announcement was in November 2021.
