The Crux brand is made up of different lines, including the Epicure line, which comes in two different wrapper variations. They are each represented by six formats. Like the other cigars of the brand, the Epicure Maduro is made at the Plasencia factory in Estelì (Nicaragua).

Crux Epicure Maduro Corona Gorda: earthy aromas and black pepper nuances are perceived in the cold draw. The opening reveals earthy notes.

The first third releases earth, walnut, and vegetal nuances. The smoke is slightly dry. Strength is slightly over the medium level (3.5/5). The finish is long, with the spices remaining perceptible on the palate for quite some time.

In the central section, the earth remains well present, while the spicy component decreases. Toasted notes are released. The strength remains unchanged (3.5/5).

In the final third, the flavor profile is unchanged, as well as the strength, which is quite constant throughout the entire smoke.

Overall, the Crux Epicure Maduro Corona Gorda boasts a good flavor intensity and a decent evolution, especially between the first and second third. A balanced and round smoke.
