The Quai d’Orsay Coronas Claro is one of the three sizes of the brand. The brand does not enjoy much popularity as its distribution is not very widespread on international markets, although Habanos SA has released some Regional Editions and a Limited Edition 2019. Coronas Claro is also one of the few survivors of the Corona vitola.
The name also recalls the shade of the wrapper, which in the 70s-80s of the last century was printed on the bottom of the boxes to indicate the color of the cigars inside. There was also a Claro Claro version of this cigar, which was discontinued in 1995.
Upon visual examination, it is wrapped in a shiny Claro shaded leaf with yellow reflections. To the touch, it is quite smooth with only small noticeable veins present. Construction and craftsmenship are great.

Quai d’Orsay Coronas Claro: the cold draw reveals well-defined aromas of coffee and walnut, enriched by earthy nuances.
In conclusion, the Quai d’Orsay Coronas Claro is a simple smoke. The opening is very elegant and complex. Unfortunately, it loses some points towards the end, especially with the bitter note that grows throughout the last third. However, it remains an interesting product, almost unique in Habanos portfolio, particularly suitable for a smoke in the morning.
There’s some inaccuracy with the price I believe. This article is dated by 02/01/2021 with the price of 6 euro.
Price in Spain is the lowest in Europe and by 2020 it’s was around 9€, in 2021 it’s a bit more than 10€ already.
