After 90 years of selling cigar, the Nat Sherman New York City Townhouse has closed for good. After handling the sale of the last remaining product yesterday afternoon, a sign was put up, marking the closing of the shop.

While the shop was scheduled to close by the end of this month, they sold out of all their inventory beforehand. Part of the sales team was already sent home two days ago.

The closing came due to Altria Inc., the parent company, not being able to sell Nat Sherman International, which was announced in August. The announcement also mentioned that the Nat Sherman cigar lines are also going to be discontinued.
