Alec Bradley Medalist Robusto

Alec Bradley Medalist Robusto: unlit, hints of sweet tobacco. The opening reveals a veiled spice of white pepper, followed by a nutty background, where the walnut stands out.

The first third develops notes of seasoned wood, nuts (a mix of walnut and hazelnut) and a light vegetal vein. Spicy notes of white pepper are perceptible in the background. Strength is medium (3/5).

In the central third, it continues on with seasoned wood and nuts (the mix of walnut and hazelnut returns). The vegetal component, however, is now less perceptible (3.5/5).

In the last part of the smoke, the nuts become more pronounced and the walnut becomes the stand out flavor. The background turns pleasantly bitter. Strength remains unchanged (3.5/5).

Overall, the Alec Bradley Medalist Robusto has good intensity and balance. The smoke is more performing in the first two thirds, where it is more structured. The cigar has an excellent balance, and the desire to create something that can be appreciated both by aficionados looking for an easy smoke, and by occasional cigar smokers, has definitely succeeded.
