The Nostrano del Brenta Millenovecentotrentanove box set, dedicated to the eighty years of the Monte Grappa Tobacco Growers Consortium, is finally available in stores. As already reported, sixteen cigars are placed inside this metal package: eight Castello and eight Foscari.
The Foscari Grande Doge, as the full name suggests, is a larger version of the Doge, one of the very first cigars made under the Nostrano deel Brenta brand. Compared to the smaller size, the blend of tobaccos has remained unchanged, as has the use of medium filler leafs.
The product is wrapped in a white tissue paper, once removed it reveals a brown leaf, with red reflections. It is slightly rough to the touch and the veins are also quite evident. Overall construction and the draw are excellent.

Nostrano del Brenta Foscari Grande Doge: the nose perceives aromas of earth and wood, both of good and equal intensity.
Overall, this Grande Doge is a cigar that convinces with its straightforward aromas, but which allow themselves to be discovered little by little, in an intriguing game of waiting. The central section is noteworthy, characterized by aromas that stimulate the attention of the smoker. Unfortunately, the astringency in the final part slightly influence the final mark. It remains a widely enjoyable cigar, albeit with the limits offered by the size and the medium filler construction.
