Nostrano del Brenta Il Mercante di Venezia’s filler involves the use of apical and medial leaves of Nostrano del Brenta tobacco (Havana tobacco variety) aged for three years. A Nostrano del Brenta leaf is used for the binder, while the wrapper is Havana seed cultivated in Brazil. After the cigars are rolled, they are left to rest for 6 months before being sold.
Aesthetically, the wrapper is of a shiny brown shade, with reddish reflections. It is somewhat smooth to the touchon, even though there are some veins present. The construction is average.

The cigar is delicately sapid and bitter in the opening. It reveals notes of hay, wood and cellulose, all of good intensity. Strength is medium – light (2/5).
Continuing, the bitter taste vanishes. The aromas do not change significantly, with wood and hay still present, to which a nutty component of walnut is added. The Strength remains unchanged (2/5).
Overall, the Nostrano del Brenta Il Mercante di Venezia is a simple product, from which it is not necessary to expect anything except a smoke that can fill up twenty minutes of your time. Although the smoke appears slightly dry, the reduced smoking time does not make this aspect too negative. The flavor profile is discreet in its simplicity.
