Tornabuoni Nazionale 800 450 Giuseppe Mitolo

Simultaneously with the launch of the Tornabuoni Novecento, the Compagnia Toscana Sigari has also released the Tornabuoni Nazionale. This new release will replace the Tornabuoni Stortignaccolo. The blend of the Nazionale, although retaining a percentage of Kentucky tobacco from Benevento for the filler (as it was for the Stortignaccolo), it would seem to have been reduced. The confection contains two machine-made cigars, made with medium filler tobaccos.

Visually, the cigar presents a shiny wrapper, that is rough to the touch. The veins are evident and you can make out that the cigar is machine-made. Filling and draw are regular. Good construction.

Tornabuoni Nazionale: the cold draw reveals aromas of leather and wet earth, with nuances that resemble the carob.

The cigar starts out sweet, while and mineral and wood notes can be picked out as well, with nuances of nuts, mainly peanut. Strength is light (1/5)

Continuing, the sweet taste is balanced by a good sapidity that enriches the perception on the palate. The aromas vary slightly, showing notes of wood, mineral and earth. Strength increases, becoming medium (3/5).

Overall, this Nazionale is a good cigar, balanced and with an interesting flavor profile. The addition of Benevento tobacco can be perceived and appreciated, particularly in the first minutes of the smoke. Although the profile is not very broad, it is still satisfying and recommended even for novices.
