The Padron Serie 1926 No.90 was created to commemorate the ninetieth birthday of José Orlando Padron. There are two peculiarities related to this cigar: the first is the Tubo (it is the first time that Padron used this type of packaging). The second one is the round shape, not box pressed like it is usually done with all the cigars of the Serie 1926.
It is a Nicaraguan puro, whose blend is made up of leaves exclusively grown in Nicaragua. It is sold in boxes containing 10 Tubos and comes in two versions. The cream-colored Tubo represents the Natural wrapper version and the red Tubo is for the Maduro wrapper version.

Padron Serie 1926 No.90 Natural: the cold draw reveals hints of spices (black pepper) and roasted coffee notes. The opening brings aged wood and black pepper to the palate.
The smoke is thick and almost chewable. Strength is medium – full (4/5).
At about half way through the cigar, cocoa appears as well. Strength remains constant (4/5).
The final third sees the herbs move to the front, with wood in the background. Strength does not present any changes and the finish is as satisfying as it is balanced.
Overall, the Padron Serie 1926 No.90 Natural releases a smoke of excellent harmony and balance. One of the best Padrons ever.
